Because of that, whenever I play breakthrough, M1A1 Carbine is my weapon of choice. It’s a little less reliable at range, however, the M1A1 carbine is a better close-quarters weapon. Now, it does a little less damage per shot than the M1 Garand however, the M1A1 Carbine has a noticeably faster fire rate.
Gameplay:Īfter putting in a lot of time with the M1 Garand, when I unlocked the M1A1 Carbine, it felt like an upgraded Garand. It’s noted many soldiers found the M1A1 to be uncomfortable due to the foldable stock.
Anyways, the M1A1 carbine was different from the M1 Carbine because of its pistol grip and foldable metal stock which made it suitable for paratroopers. I really don’t have much to say besides that it’s a fun pistol and it’s historically accurate towards the Americans. I rarely ever pull out my pistol in BF5 but whenever I need to, I trust in the M1911. After that, it served with U.S personnel from 1911 to 1987 when it was replaced by the Beretta 92. Then in 1911 the Colt 1911 was officially adopted by the U.S military hence the name of the pistol. In 1906, tests were held and the Colt 1911 was proclaimed the winner. So, a call was put out for a new pistol that was chambered in. 45 bullet was effective against the tribals. As a result, I highly recommend trying it out next time you play BF5.ĭuring the Philippine–American War in the 1900s, a need arose for a pistol that could stop a drugged-up tribal warrior. Also, you can put a bayonet on it for some sick melee kills. It’s stupid reliable at longer ranges and can still hold its own in a close-quarter duel if you focus. I love the sound and the feeling of using the weapon in the game. The M1 Garand is one of my favorite weapons to use in BF5. When DICE was developing BF5, they knew they had to make the M1 Garand feel iconic and they did a great job. This would lead to the allies outproducing and overwhelming the Axis powers by 1945. Despite this, the M1 Garand would be the most produced weapon with 6 million being produced by the end of the war. Interestingly enough, the U.S army had not fully equipped its infantry with the M1 Garand till 1942. By 1932, after rigorous testing, it replaced the M1903 Springfield rifle. The M1 Garand, now indistinguishable from the U.S military and basic freedoms, was the standard infantry weapon for all U.S forces in WW2.
